Our adjusters have extensive training and experience in handling fire losses from start to finish and will assist the insured in dealing with the traumatic event in a professional and compassionate manner, while attempting to reach an equitable settlement agreement between the insured and the carrier.
- Available to accept new assignments 24/7. Upper management is on call after hours. (No answering service – No remote call centers)
- Immediate contact on ALL fire losses within 24 hours.
- Supervise, coordinate and monitor emergency services to include emergency board up, roof tarps, water mitigation efforts and the security of the insured property.
- Meet with the insured to assist with temporary lodging and other additional living expenses when the insured structure in not habitable.
- Obtain recorded interviews from the insured and/or witnesses upon request.
- Obtain fire and police reports upon request.
- Coordinate Origin & Cause Investigations upon request.
- Secure evidence for potential subrogation upon request.
- Submit first report with photos and reserve recommendations within 24 hours on large losses.
- Research public records to confirm ownership of the property.
- Monitor building materials for elevated moisture levels and potential microbial growth.
- Monitor partial and complete contents pack outs.
- Negotiate with emergency services contractors for the cost of such services in an effort to reach a settlement agreement that is fair and reasonable. (Emergency board up, emergency roof tarps, security of the insured property, water extraction, drying procedures, selective demolition, pack outs, storage and mold remediation) We will prepare comparative estimates upon request.
- Certified in Mold Remediation.
- Complete Insured to Value calculations upon request.
- Complete interior diagrams and roof diagrams upon request.
- Meet with restoration contractors and/or structural engineers when necessary, along with the insured to get an agreed scope and cost of repairs. Our adjusters write their own restoration estimates based on a scope of damage that they deem fair and reasonable. Our adjusters review all engineering plans and drawings and incorporate the structural engineer’s proposed method of repair into their estimates.
- Monitor the restoration and/or replacement of fire, soot, smoke and water damaged contents. Inventory items deemed to be a total loss and address potential salvage.
- dMonitor the restoration process to conclusion.
